Basic policy related to the protection of personal information
Global Plaza Co., Ltd., considers it important to duly protect personal information relating to all members using our services, and pays close attention to the handling of such information. In addition, we will strive to ensure that our employees and other relevant parties are well informed and comply with all laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information, as well as other laws and regulations, and continue to make improvements.1 Purpose of use of personal information
Global Plaza Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) shall use the personal information obtained for the following purposes:
(1) To provide the services of the Company(2) To customize the information, service, and delivery of advertisements appearing on the pages of the services of the Company
(3) To provide information, introduce products and services, and deliver the same to the members
(4) To enhance and improve the services of the Company
(5) To prepare statistical data processed in such a manner that makes it impossible to identify individuals
(6) To prevent violations of the terms of use of the services of the Company
2 Limitations according to the purpose of use
All personal information obtained by the Company shall be handled within the scope of the above-mentioned purpose of use. Any handling of personal information outside the scope of the purpose of use shall be limited to cases where agreement has been obtained in advance from the relevant person. Provided, however, that this shall not apply to the following:
(1) As required by laws and regulations (2) Where such disclosure is deemed necessary to protect human lives, bodies, or property, or when approval is difficult to obtain from the relevant person (3) Where such disclosure is deemed necessary to improve public health or promote the sound nurturing of children or when approval is difficult to obtain from the relevant person (4) Case where cooperation is deemed necessary with a state organization or local public organization or any other organization entrusted by them, when they conduct business as stipulated by laws and regulations, and where it is likely that obtaining agreement from the relevant person will cause inconvenience to the relevant business processing3 Acquisition of information
The Company shall obtain personal information by means of lawful and fair methods.4 Management of personal information
The Company shall implement appropriate procedures to ensure that personal information of the members accurate and updated. In addition, the Company shall appropriately and safely manage the personal information of members.5 Provision of personal information to a third party
The Company shall not, in principle, provide the personal information of a member to a third party without obtaining approval from the relevant member. The personal information of the member shall be provided only after obtaining approval from the member. Provided, however, that this shall not apply to the following:
(1) Where a company to whom the business was outsourced by the Company provides information or services by means of direct mail, e-mail, or otherwise on behalf of the Company;(2) Where it is necessary for a company to whom the business was outsourced by the Company to provide individual services, such as after-sales service, on behalf of the Company;
(3) Where, in order to provide statistical information, individual personal information is accumulated or analyzed and processed in a manner that makes it impossible to identify individuals, and such statistical information is disclosed;
(4) Where disclosure or provision is permitted by laws and regulations.
6 Exemption of liability
With regard to the acquisition of personal information by a third party, the Company shall not assume any liability in the following cases:
(1) Where a relevant member has disclosed the information to a third party by using service functions of the Company or another method.(2) Where an individual has been identified according to the information that the member provided to the Company for use of the service.
7 Use of statistical data
Based on the personal information obtained from the member, the Company may prepare statistical data that is processed in such a manner that makes it impossible to identify individuals. With regard to the statistical data that does not allow us to identify individuals, the Company may use it without limitation.8 Use of cookies
(1) When members use the services of the Company or its business partners or browse the pages, the Company shall automatically receive from the members' browsers and record on the server such information as members’ IP addresses, cookie information, advertisements and/or pages that were browsed by members, and the use environment of the members.(2) In order to study new services and make our services and our advertisements appropriate for members, the Company may use such information as sex, occupation, age, the pages and advertisements browsed by members, utilization time zone, the method of use, and the use environment.
(3) In order to analyze the kind of advertisements and information that. would be effective when posted or offered and provide the results of the analysis to our sponsors, information providers, service providers, and others, the Company may analyze the information relating to members and select target persons on the questionnaire for analysis. Such information that enables identification of individuals shall not be included in the results of the analysis.
(4) The Company may outsource the display and delivery of part of the advertisements posted on the Company's site to third-party businesses. Where these third-party businesses have cookies set up, the information shall be recorded on the server of the third-party businesses and managed under the privacy policy of the third-party businesses.
